Certification
Certification denotes the validation of specific characteristics of an object, individual, or entity. This validation is typically conferred through external evaluation, education, assessment, or audit, though not invariably. Accreditation, on the other hand, is the certification process specific to an organization. As defined by the National Council on Measurement in Education, a certification test is an assessment used to ascertain an individual's proficiency in a particular occupational domain, thus determining their suitability to practice in that field.
